"I was feeling the need to design a collection of dresses in which women could move light and floating as if there was an absence of gravity yet being strong” states Alberta Ferretti to describe this contemporary style that has lightness as staple characteristic.
Everything is doubled and layered to give to both short and long dresses a liquid, iridescent, shiny and floating surfaces as if they were light creatures.
The silhouette is in movement and enhanced by the lightness of the fabrics.
The silhouette evolves following the feminine and ethereal movement of the woman wearing the dress.
The collection is comprised of short dresses with beaded and hard stones tremblant embroideries and sheer organza tunic dresses with almost invisible beaded fringes.
And also iridescent dresses as if they were suspended on the body by very thin tulle straps.
Silk shantung is another fabric that creates lightness and makes the silhouette delicate. This fabric is used in silk shorts, jackets, skirts and overcoats.
This light and floating collection includes also doubled chiffon long dresses. The layer underneath creates volume on the top iridescent layer while a small train underlines the movement.
Lace inserts draw tattoos on the body and satin sequin nets catch the light of precious jewels.
The colour palette is the following: turquoise, bright whites, aqua green, pale greys.
